Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>ALL systems go for the 11th edition of the Ruacana Easter Tournament, scheduled to kick off on Friday and conclude next Monday.<\/p>\n

The Ruacana tournament is the biggest event on the northern calendar, drawing people from all walks of life to Oshifo in the Omusati Region.<\/p>\n

The tournament will be officially opened by the town Mayor, Linda Mbwale, before the start of the new games.<\/p>\n

Tournament organizer Simaneka Nendongo indicated that preparations are in full swing, and they are ready to welcome everyone starting from today (Thursday).<\/p>\n

Nendongo said that this year, an amount of N$350,000 was invested in hosting the town\u2019s much-anticipated tournament. Of that amount, N$148,000 is set aside for prizes, with the remainder used for other expenses.<\/p>\n
