Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>The Ohlthaver & List Group, Namibia\u2019s largest private company group with interests in many sectors, is set to build a Philippsee photovoltaic (PV) power plant in Bad Scho\u0308nborn, Germany.<\/p>\n

This was announced by O&L executive chairman Sven Thieme in a statement following a ground-breaking ceremony on 21 March, when he said the investment in the floating plant project is being made through O&L Europe SE, the Germany Holding company of Olfitra.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a remarkable milestone in our collective journey. With immense pride, we join hands with our partners and co-investors, O&L Europe SE and Phillip and Co KG to celebrate the groundbreaking of what will soon stand as Germany\u2019s grandest floating solar park.\u201cThis project epitomises our resolute commitment to innovation and sustainability. We are truly proud of our century-old legacy, built on the O&L foundation of authenticity, care and passion.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe remain committed to responsible stewardship, ensuring minimal impact on the environment through meticulous monitoring programmes,\u201d he said, adding that as the group sets forth on this groundbreaking journey, they do so with a shared vision of a brighter, greener future.<\/p>\n

O&L Europe is a distinguished European holding company owned by the O&L Group which serves as the primary platform for managing and expanding the interests of the group in Europe.<\/p>\n

According to Thieme, the development of the Philippsee project marks a significant advancement in sustainable energy development in Europe and highlights the group\u2019s dedication to environmental responsibility, social inclusion and economic prosperity.<\/p>\n

The official groundbreaking was attended by stakeholders from industry, the state of Baden-Wu\u0308rttemberg and the municipality of Bad Scho\u0308nborn, marking a significant milestone in the renewable energy drive.<\/p>\n

This initiative not only represents a leap forward in sustainable energy, but also highlights the power of partnership in reaching important environmental goals, said Thieme.<\/p>\n
