He urged fairness and was quoted on social media platform X, saying: “NFA should be fair. Players are also human beings. Let us not test each other. We do what we say”.

The Warriors roped in Amoomo to fight their case after the association initially said the players would not get any cut from the N$15 million. The 27% share equates to about N$4 million, translating to around N$170 000 for each player and member of the technical staff.

Despite this offer, a player, who preferred anonymity, expressed disappointment with the proposed terms. To date, players have received various financial allocations from their Afcon assignment.

The players have so far received a participation fee of N$100 000 each and a qualification bonus of N$25 000 per match. In total, each used player bagged N$75 000.

The appearance fee for all four matches (Mali, Tunisia, South Africa and Angola) was N$40 000 for used players and N$20 000 for unused players. For beating Tunisia, used players received an extra N$40 000 bonus, whereas unused players got N$20 000.

The winning bonus against Mali was another N$40 000 for used players and N$20 00 for unused players. For reaching the round of 16 and playing against Angola, the players walked away with an allowance, ranging from N$90 000 to N$130 000. Players also received N$8 823 each from the sponsorship of PSTBet. The NFA did not indicate when the Warriors will receive their share of the N$15 million.

For More News And Analysis About Namibia Follow Africa-Press

Africa-Press – Namibia.
