Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>Transportation company Hannes and Eve Rides awarded cash prizes and trophies to Khomas Nampol\u2019s players of the month, Rewaldo Prins and Terry Uiseb, yesterday at their headquarters in Ausspannplatz, Windhoek.<\/p>\n

The players were rewarded N$1 500 each for their dedication and hard work for March.<\/p>\n

One of the players, Prins, got an extra N$500 from the company\u2019s managing director Evelina Shangheta, as she was impressed by how hard he works on the field.<\/p>\n

Prins said the award will be a motivation \u2013 not just for him to do better, but to encourage the youth as well.<\/p>\n

\u201cCompared to last season\u2019s statistics, I went back to the drawing board and have been putting in extra training by myself, and it looks like the work has paid off; it\u2019s a motivation to myself and the youth out there,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The 21-year-old winger has also been scoring exceptional goals in the DebMarine Premier League, with his record standing at 12 goals from 24 matches played.<\/p>\n

This makes him the second top goal scorer, trailing behind Awillo Stephanus, who has 15 goals, with five matches still to be played in the league.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just want to show my age mates that anything is possible,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

His teammate, Uiseb, shared his sentiments. \u201cI am very happy and grateful that we got a sponsor for the player of the month and to be recognised for our efforts. Overall, it will be motivation for the other players as well,\u201d Uiseb said.<\/p>\n

Uiseb, from the statistics released by the Namibia Football Association on 14 March, has six goals.<\/p>\n

Shangheta added that the initiative is to promote partnership and to further motivate players to do their best. \u201cWe are a very small organisation \u2013 and as small as we are, we also have a part to pay back to the community. Our focus is brand visibility. During the second leg of the league, we committed to sponsoring the player of the month at the club, and that is what we did,\u201d she concluded.<\/p>\n
