Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>FlyNamibia, in partnership with TotalEnergies, is set to expand the number of seats available on the Windhoek to Lu\u0308deritz route, which operates every weekday. These adjustments aim to foster the sustainability of the route, which opened on 1 July 2023, and resulted in the transport of 5 000 passengers since then.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe celebrate this success, thanks to TotalEnergies who played a catalyser role in unlocking access to the south-west of Namibia. These changes include the adoption of dynamic pricing effective from 18 April 2024 and potential adjustments to flight schedules to better align with passenger needs,\u201d read a statement from FlyNamibia.<\/p>\n

The local airline also announced the opening of a new office in Lu\u0308deritz at the Lu\u0308deritz Waterfront (Old Power Station). The introduction of this permanent office enables the airline to provide customers and the Lu\u0308deritz community with even more personalised and direct services.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur enduring partnership with TotalEnergies enables us to continuously adapt and offer the best service to our customers,\u201d said Andre Compion, MD of FlyNamibia. \u201cHaving taken part in the opening of the Windhoek – Lu\u0308deritz route, I am delighted to see the success of it, and I am confident that these changes are geared towards maintaining route sustainability, making it self-sufficient and ensuring affordable access to the Lu\u0308deritz community,\u201d said Laurent Roche\u0301, TotalEnergies’ country chairperson.<\/p>\n

The operational update of new developments on the route is designed to benefit consumers by providing more flexible travel options and maintaining high service standards, characteristic of FlyNamibia\u2019s commitment to quality, along with ensuring the route\u2019s long-term sustainability. \u201cFlyNamibia and TotalEnergies are dedicated to serving our community, and boosting economic growth and upholding the high standards of service and reliability that define our operations,\u201d the airline stated.<\/p>\n

FlyNamibia operates domestic routes from Eros Airport in Windhoek to Ondangwa, Katima Mulilo, Lu\u0308deritz and Oranjemund, as well as regional routes between Hosea Kutako International Airport and Cape Town International Airport, in addition to Walvis Bay International Airport and Cape Town International, in partnership with Airlink.<\/p>\n

Other regional routes include a direct service between Hosea Kutako International Airport and Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, with the addition of Maun, Botswana to be launched in July 2024. FlyNamibia Safari connects travellers between Hosea Kutako International Airport and key tourist destinations within Namibia, as well as a route linking Eros Airport to Rundu.<\/p>\n
