Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>Deep Yellow Limited\u2019s Reptile Mineral Resources and Exploration (RMR) on Monday donated textbooks and educational equipment to Narraville Secondary School at Walvis Bay.<\/p>\n

Walvis Bay education inspector Theresia Goagoses identified the need for textbooks at the school, especially for Grade 9 pupils.<\/p>\n

\u201cMay these textbooks serve as valuable resources, igniting curiosity and fuelling the thirst for knowledge among students. Together, let\u2019s continue to invest in the future generation\u2019s education and empower them to reach their full potential,\u201d Goagoses said at the donation ceremony.<\/p>\n

Deep Yellow also donated a projector and mobile screen to help bring lessons to life.<\/p>\n

The total value of the donation comes to approximately N$42 000.<\/p>\n

Guardian principal Anton van Wyk told The Namibian since the school was opened in January, the approximately 330 pupils from grades 7 to 9 still do not have textbooks and have to depend on printed copies.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe orders have been placed, so we are expecting the textbooks soon,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He noted that the Grade 9s are writing their semi-externals soon and are thus a priority.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are just very grateful for this donation. It will really help.\u201d<\/p>\n

RMR Exploration manager Katrin Ka\u0308rner highlighted the importance of collaboration with the directorate to meet educational needs.<\/p>\n
