Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>One of the most promising Go-Kart drivers in the country, Russell Josephat, finished in seventh place at the weekend\u2019s 2024 South African Kart championship held in Johannesburg.<\/p>\n

He collected a total of 83 points, finishing two places behind the winner Harris Radhi, who accumulated 105 points. Varhule Aston came in second with 92 points, whilst De Olivero Alonzo secured third position with 91 points.<\/p>\n

Speaking to this publication whilst in South Africa, Josephat said the race was good, despite making a few mistakes that cost him the race. He mentioned that his father, JP Josephat, who is also his coach, identified those mistakes, and they will work on them to come back stronger.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am very happy with my performance this weekend, but a few silly mistakes from my end cost us first place in this competition. However, we have learned a lot from this competition, and moving forward, we will focus on improving my performance in the next race,\u201d said Josephat.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, his father and coach shared his thoughts on the race, stating, \u201cWe did not intend to finish in this position, but I would say it was a great opportunity for us to showcase our skills at this tournament. The championship is the best tournament in Africa, and our presence here is an honour that indicates we are heading in the right direction,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe made a lot of mistakes, but it is up to us to improve. We must work on our weaknesses, and then we will be ready to go.\u201d<\/p>\n
