This ceremony, designed to recognise and honour players and technical staff, encountered unexpected costs not factored into the league\u2019s budget, necessitating the sourcing of additional funds to host the event.<\/p>\n<p>Vries elaborated on the unforeseen expenses, which arose from match postponements, shifts due to field unavailability, and the relocation of matches to alternative venues.<\/p>\n<p>The league\u2019s conclusion, which was initially scheduled for March, was extended to May, further contributing to the financial burden. Despite the logistical challenges, African Stars emerged as the champions of the 2023\/24 season, securing both the prize money and the coveted trophy.<\/p>\n<p>Individual accolades, including the top goal-scorer, player of the season, defender of the season, coach of the season and best referee of the season, are also slated for recognition at the awards ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>However, amidst the preparations, a dispute has arisen over the top goal scorer award.
