Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>Ongos Ladies’ head coach Shama Gure said despite facing a tough assignment on Sunday against Namib Daughters, he is upbeat that his team will progress to the next round of the tournament.<\/p>\n

The two teams will clash in another exciting match in the PstBet NFA Cup at Vineta stadium in Swakopmund. Speaking to this publication ahead of their enticing fixture, he said the match is tough, and anything can happen over the weekend.<\/p>\n

He, however, said his charges have maintained the highest standard of football, and he is positive they can overcome the hurdle that stands in their way. \u201cYou know it\u2019s not always easy to play in a cup competition, and this is an opportunity for us to test and prove how good we are. We know our opponents have plans up their sleeves, but we are equally ready for any test, and we intend to progress to the next stage of the competition,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Independence and Vineta will play host to six crucial matches in the men\u2019s and women\u2019s categories of the NFA Cup this weekend. Matches will commence tomorrow, starting in the capital at Independence Stadium, which will see a tie between Beauties FC and V-Power Angels scheduled for 15h00, followed by a match between Okahandja United and<\/p>\n

Rundu-based team Julinho Sporting, slated for 17h00. Wrapping up the day tomorrow will be a game between Further Fighters and Mighty Gunners, booked for 19h00.<\/p>\n

At Vineta on Saturday, action will commence at 13h00 with an exciting tie between Khomas Nampol and Girls and Goals, followed by another mesmerising game between Young African and Young Brazilian, which will kick off at 15h00.<\/p>\n

The third and last match of the day will be between Ongos and Khomas Nampol. Also speaking to this publication yesterday, Khomas Nampol coach Fortune Eichab said it is a do-or-die match for both outfits.<\/p>\n

He said this would be another chance to test themselves and see how good they are. \u201cTough assignment ahead, and we are going to fight and give it our all. I know it won\u2019t be an easy match against Ongos, but I am confident that the boys can get the job done. The mood in camp is good, and everyone is positive and happy. So we are hoping for the best match of this whole competition,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, action will continue at both fields, starting with Independence Stadium. Unam Bokkies will square off against Ongwediva Queens, scheduled for 12h00, followed by a match between Life Fighters and Oryza Sativa FC, slated for 14h00. Chula Chula will tackle Unam FC at the same venue, with the match expected to kick off at 16h00.<\/p>\n

At Swakopmund, fans can expect action to commence at 12h00 on Sunday, with an exciting fixture between Ongos Ladies and Namib Daughters, followed by a fixture between defending champions Civics and Tigers.<\/p>\n

Wrapping up the day at Swakopmund\u2019s Vineta Stadium will be a tie between Dolam giants Orlando Pirates and Debmarine Premiership champions, African Stars.<\/p>\n
