Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>Namibian referee Fillemon Amupadhi is attending the International Referee\u2019s Candidate Course currently underway in Morocco.<\/p>\n

This prestigious International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) course is being hosted by the Confederation of African Volleyball at the Institut Royal de Formation des Cadres Moulay Rachid in Sale\u0301, from 7 to 15 July.<\/p>\n

Amupadhi, who left for Morocco over the weekend, joined 25 other national referees from 21 African countries.<\/p>\n

His selection marks a significant milestone for Namibia, being the first and only Namibian candidate to attend this esteemed international course, says Namibia Volleyball Federation president Hillary Dux Imbuwa.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are incredibly proud of Fillemon Amupadhi\u2019s selection to the FIVB International Referee\u2019s Candidate Course. This is not only a personal achievement for him but also a monumental step for the development of volleyball in Namibia,\u201d Imbuwa said in a statement yesterday.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis participation in this course reflects the growing recognition of Namibian talent on the international stage.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are confident that Amupadhi will excel and bring back invaluable knowledge and experience that will benefit our refereeing standards and the overall growth of the sport in our country, in line with our key strategic objectives as a federation.\u201d<\/p>\n
