It addressed issues such as road trading, cleanliness, illegal trading, public health, disaster and risk management as well as safety and security.<\/p>\n<p>Windhoek mayor Queen Kamati informed the vendors that illegal trading is unlawful.<\/p>\n<p>The City does not plan to remove illegal vendors.<\/p>\n<p>However, there is a need for them to start contributing to water services, and maintaining cleanliness in the area.<\/p>\n<p>Officials warned those who have made the marketplace their bedrooms to discontinue this practice.<\/p>\n<p>They also cautioned those who have constructed their stalls on the road to refrain from doing so.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the City is actively seeking solutions for all traders in Windhoek.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting was attended by more than 500 vendors.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/namibia\">Namibia<\/a> Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Namibia.
