Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>\/\/Kharas councillor Susan Ndjaleka says fostering trust among stakeholders in the oil and gas sectors is crucial.<\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cThere should be community participation, trust, and collaboration among stakeholders,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n

Ndjaleka said this at the Namibia University of Science and Technology\u2019s lecture on the emerging oil and gas industries at Lu\u0308deritz on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Samuel John, a professor at the Namibia University of Technology (NUST), said: \u201cUniversity curriculums are very dynamic, they don\u2019t stay static, they evolve as the industries evolve.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although some of the skills needed for green hydrogen developments are new to Namibia, the fundamental skills are available, he said.<\/p>\n

Associate dean Veikko Shalimba emphasised the connection between the university\u2019s history and future shaped by cooperation and collaboration among various stakeholders.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis lecture series connects Nust\u2019s vibrant history with the present and the exciting future we build together,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n

The public lecture was held under the theme \u2018Community Participation, Engagement and Consultation in Oil and Gas\u2019 and gathered stakeholders, experts, and community members, reinforcing the critical role local voices play in shaping the future of oil and gas initiatives.<\/p>\n
