Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>The United Democratic Front (UDF) will launch its election manifesto during its congress in Otjiwarongo on 12 October.<\/p>\n

Last week, the UDF\u2019s spokesperson, Mabasen Narib told the Windhoek Observer that in the manifesto, the party\u2019s leadership will unpack how the party intends to change the state of government and make service delivery the order of business.<\/p>\n

\u201cUDF presents itself as the next best alternative party to the voters. The manifesto will give a detailed strategic plan on how we intend to address the bread and butter issues of our people,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Narib added that the UDF has gone through a transformation phase and is now led by young, vibrant and dynamic leaders.<\/p>\n

He said the party has been conducting door-to-door campaigns to deliberately engage the community and to hear their problems.<\/p>\n

\u201cUDF promises that those who will get a chance to represent the party will be robust debaters. Who will be tasked to primarily advocate for the people?\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The UDF was established in 1989 by Justus ||Garoeb was its founding president and leader of the Damara council.<\/p>\n

Along with the PDM, it is one of the parties that has been in parliament since Namibia\u2019s independence.<\/p>\n

The party currently holds two seats in the National Assembly. The seats are occupied by former president, Apius Auchab and former vice president, Dudu Murorua.<\/p>\n
