Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>NAMIBIA has recorded 1 334 new Covid-19 infections, 142 reinfections, 70 recoveries, and one death linked to the virus.<\/b><\/p>\n

This was announced by minister of health and social services Kalumbi Shangula on Monday.<\/p>\n

Shangula said 114 cases are fully vaccinated, while 27 vaccinated cases did not specify the number of doses received. He added that 1 160 (87%) of the new cases are unvaccinated.<\/p>\n

The positivity rate for Namibia stands at 25,1%.<\/p>\n

The total of 1 334 infections include 65 pupils from different schools, 27 healthcare workers, 15 students, and 12 teachers.<\/p>\n

Shangula said 198 people are currently hospitalised due to Covid-19, with 16 in intensive care units.<\/p>\n

Namibia’s current Covid-19 figures are:<\/p>\n

Confirmed cases: 139 518<\/p>\n

Recoveries: 127 439<\/p>\n

Active cases: 9 437<\/p>\n

Deaths: 3 583<\/p>\n

Fully vaccinated individuals: 335 289<\/p>\n
