Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>The Affirmative Repositioning (AR) has promised a one-year tax holiday for companies that create over 100 permanent jobs, once voted into power.s<\/b><\/p>\n

The move aims to address the country\u2019s high unemployment rate, said activist Johannes Mwandingi during the launch of the AR\u2019s manifesto at Katima Mulilo on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Mwandingi noted that the party\u2019s economic agenda will ensure pensions are not taxed, and they aim to increase public spending on housing from 0.1% to 5% of the gross domestic product.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will introduce a carbon tax and develop a plan to delink the Namibian dollar from the South African rand. Furthermore, we will review and renegotiate all agreements on our natural resources. We will also remove the redline, among others.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mwandingi said the party will introduce the use of all local languages in the parliament, as well as officer local languages in schools countrywide.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will promote an indigenous diet in schools, hospitals and prisons; develop the integration of indigenous medicine in the national health system; and support customary law and introduce restorative justice in our judiciary,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
