Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>Namibia will host the Over 50s Cricket Africa Cup against Zimbabwe and two South African teams in Windhoek next month. <\/b><\/p>\n

Cricket Namibia made the announcement on Tuesday, saying that they will host a quadrangular tournament that will see a Namibian Invitational team competing against Zimbabwe, South Africa and South Africa A.<\/p>\n

According to a press release, the tournament will feature eight 45-over matches taking place from the 17th to the 21st of November, with all games beginning at 10h00. Cricket enthusiasts across the region and in Africa can watch the action live on NTV, DSTV channel 285.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Over 50s tournaments are a special platform for seasoned players, aged 50 and above, to remain involved in the game and continue playing competitive cricket,\u201d the release states, adding that matches will be held at three premier venues: FNB Namibia Cricket Ground, Wanderers Sports Club, and United Sports Club.<\/p>\n

\u201cCricket Namibia is pleased with the Veterans Cricket Association of Namibia, bringing this level of competitive cricket to Namibian soil. This initiative aligns with Cricket Namibia\u2019s commitment to deliver high-quality cricket into the country,\u201d it added.<\/p>\n

The Namibia Invitational squad is as follows:<\/p>\n

Dawie Hartzenberg (captain), Leon Fleming (vice captain), Deon Gouws, Petrie Theron, Piers le Strange, Alex Horn, Lam Coetzee, Dian Coetzee, Louis Nortje, Dirkie Beukes, Ferdie Coetzee, Willem Genis, Willem Janse van Rensburg, Isedor Titus, Willie van Zyl (manager) and Chris Freeman (coach).<\/p>\n

The matches will be livestreamed on https:\/\/oneuptwo.com\/ and broadcast on NTV, DSTV Channel 285, ensuring everyone has access to the games. \u201cThe public is invited to attend the games to support the Namibian Invitational team as they compete on home soil in this thrilling Over 50s Africa Cup.
