Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>The Sinomine Tsumeb Smelter has restructured its executive team, now composed of six Namibian and three foreign executives.<\/b><\/p>\n

Logan Lou serves as chief executive, with Wu Jiang as vice president of operations. Zebra Kasete leads as vice president of business development, Herman Fuls as director of technical services, and Michael Wu as finance director.<\/p>\n

Other key roles include Brumilda Britz as head of human resources, Zeka Alberto as head of legal, Antonie van Wyk as director of operations and asset management, and Barcelona Tsuases as director of sustainability and business affairs.<\/p>\n

Lou, in a statement on Wednesday, said of the 600 employees at the smelter, approximately 98% are Namibians and about 2% foreign employees.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are committed to enhancing our copper business and introducing new project initiatives, namely the caesium and germanium projects. These efforts are anticipated to create further employment opportunities for Namibians, contributing positively to the local economy,\u201d said Lou.<\/p>\n

Sinomine holds ownership of the smelter through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Sinomine (Hong Kong) Rare Metals Resources, which controls a 98% stake of the smelter\u2019s operations at Tsumeb.<\/p>\n
