Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span> CHRISTMAS Day had hardly ended when the Oshana Region recorded its first murder.<\/p>\n

The 28-year-old Mathias Festus Nghuuditeko, well-known for boxing under the banner of Bulelo Boxing Academy, was fatally stabbed around 00:30 on Sunday while reportedly trying to stop a fight.<\/p>\n

According to a source Informant\u00e9 spoke to, the deceased was trying to separate two people who were fighting at a party next door.<\/p>\n

Nampol Community Affairs Officer Warrant Officer Frieda Shikole said the incident occurred at the Ondiyala location in the Ondangwa area.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is alleged that an unknown suspect stabbed the victim with an unknown object,\u201d said Shikole.<\/p>\n

Nghuuditeko died instantly.<\/p>\n

No arrest has been made yet.<\/p>\n

Police investigation into the matter continues.<\/p>\n
