Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>CABINET has approved the expansion of the list of countries whose nationals are eligible for Visa on Arrival (VoA) in Namibia.<\/p>\n

This was announced by the Minister of Information and Communication Technology, Emma Theofelus, during a Cabinet briefing. She revealed that the additional countries are: A\u030aland Islands, American Samoa, Andorra, Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Aruba, The Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, Bolivia, Brunei Darussalam, Central African Republic, Cyprus, Georgia, Grenada, Haiti, Kiribati, Maldives, Monaco, Mongolia, Montenegro, Palestine, Panama, Samoa, Slovenia, Sovereign Order of Malta, St Vincent and the Grenadines, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, Suriname, Sweden, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, Vanuatu, and the Dominican Republic.<\/p>\n

\u201cCabinet approved the introduction of a N$400.00 fee for manually submitted Visa on Arrival (VoA) applications; and Cabinet approved the standing authority for the Minister of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security to reciprocate visa exemptions extended to Namibia, in consultation with the Ministry of International Relations and Trade, and subject to the legal opinion of the Attorney-General, where applicable,\u201d Theofelus said.<\/p>\n

She also confirmed that while holders of ordinary passports from Haiti remain eligible for Visa on Arrival, they will be exempt from visa fees upon arrival in Namibia. Additionally, Cabinet endorsed the full visa exemption for holders of diplomatic passports from Haiti, in line with standard diplomatic practice and reciprocal arrangements.<\/p>\n
