This, she said, follows a recent double tragedy in the north where two children were allegedly killed by their father, who also attempted to strangle their mother.<\/p>\n<p>The shocking case has sparked outrage and renewed fears about the vulnerability of children in homes affected by domestic violence.<\/p>\n<p>Mbuti said the incident calls into question the effectiveness of official actions aimed at protecting children, citing Article 15 of the Namibian Constitution, which provides every child protection from abuse. She announced she will demand answers from the minister regarding the apparent gaps in the system.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhy were the children not placed under protective custody after their father\u2019s violent behaviour?\u201d Mbuti will ask.
