Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>Thirteen clubs have entered tomorrow\u2019s first leg of the Athletics Namibia Grand Prix, including a new club from Rundu making its debut in the competition.<\/p>\n

The new club is called Rundu Ehumbu Taliduka Athletics Club. AN secretary general Martha Emvula said they are well prepared and ready to host the event, which is the first of 10 legs.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have Unam as well as Nampol, so we expect stiff competition and new talents to emerge at the event,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Athletes with disabilities will also compete. The much-anticipated competition will also see Olympic stars, Beatrice Masilingi and Christine Mboma in action.<\/p>\n

This will be the first time the two compete in Namibia since becoming world famous. Their coach Henk Botha said the competition will serve as preparation for the new international athletics season that is yet to commence.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs I said before, this is only for us to get some form of training, it isn\u2019t any competitive. We just want to have some competition time to see where we are,\u201d he told New Era Sport.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will calculate the decision, because we don\u2019t want her to get injured,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
