Africa-Press – Nigeria. Rangers and Enyimba recorded important home wins in the Nigeria Premier Football League on Sunday to keep their title hopes alive.
At the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium in Enugu, Rangers claimed a 2-0 win against Plateau United.
Chiedozie Okorie and Godwin Obaje were the goalscorers for the Coal City club.
Rangers maintained top spot with 57 points from 32 games.
In Aba, Enyimba dispatched Katsina United 1-0.
Chijioke Mbaoma netted the winning goal on the hour mark.
It was Mbaoma’s 14th league goal of the campaign for the People’s Elephant.
Enyimba climbed to second place following the win.
