Africa-Press – Nigeria. Bandits reportedly attacked some villages in Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State on Friday night.
The bandits invaded the villages in motorcycles, shooting sporadically.
According to a villager, Alhaji Mahamud Ismailia, many people were kidnapped by the armed bandits.
“There was no security operative there to rescue the ugly situation. We are just living by the mercy of Allah,” he said.
Another villager, Mohammad Abdullahi confirmed the incident, saying that Maradun Local Government Area has since been a colony of bandits.
He added, “The bandits have shifted from Dansadau axis to Maradun Local Government Area.
We are in a serious problem. When the government cannot protect our lives and properties, then where are we going in this country?”
