Africa-Press – Nigeria. Hon Marcus Iziegbeaya Onobun, member representing Esan Central/Esan West/Igueben Federal Constituency, Edo State, has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
This was contained in a letter dated July 18 and addressed to the Chairman of the party in Ward 6, Esan West Local Government Area of the state.
The lawmaker cited internal crisis, leadership instability and deep-seated division in the opposition PDP as his reason for the decision.
According to him, the crisis plaguing the party at all levels is no longer reconcilable, stressing that the “unfortunate realities have hindered PDP from fulfilling its founding visions”.
Although the lawmaker did not State his next move, He is on his way to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
This is coming barely a month after PDP Edo the decision of the state government to mark the lawmaker’s house for demolition over alleged connection to cultism.
