Africa-Press – Nigeria. Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has described the emergence of the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Prof. Nentawe Yiltwada, as the new National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC as putting a round peg in a round hole.

He stated that this is owing to the fact that he is an embodiment of academic, technocratic, and political expertise.

Bago in a congratulatory message through his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, also said the emergence of Prof. Yilwatda was strategic.

” I have confidence that Prof. Yitwatda has the wherewithal to transform the APC, strengthen unity among party members, and consolidate its hold on power at the centre as well as win more states in the 2027 general elections, ” he emphasized

He also assured the new APC National Chairman of the unwavering support of the Niger State government towards ensuring his success in office.

Prof Nentawe Yilwatda’s emergence follows his nomination, which was approved through a voice vote by members of the National Executive Council, NEC, of the All Progressives Congress.

He was subsequently sworn in during a meeting held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, attended by Governor Umaru Bago.
