Africa-Press – Nigeria. An agent of the Peoples Democratic Party, whose name was yet to be ascertained, has been beaten and manhandled by voters.

The incident occurred during the ongoing bye-election at Ozolua Model Primary School, Iguobazuwa East Ward, headquarters of Ovia South West Local Government Area of the state.

The voters said the agent refused to release their Permanent Voter Cards.

It was the intervention of the police that saved the agent.

DAILY POST reports that voters turned out to vote at various wards in Iguobazuwa, where materials arrived as early as 7 a.m.
