Niger Delta Will Punish Tinubu's Lawlessness in 2027

Africa-Press – Nigeria. Lauretta Onnochie, former media aide to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, has spoken to President Bola Tinubu on the repercussions from the Niger Delta in 2027 due to his actions in Rivers State.

Onnochie warned that the Niger Delta people will punish Tinubu for the alleged lawlessness he imposed on Rivers State.

She accused Tinubu of imposing an illegal and unconstitutional emergency rule in Rivers State for six months.

On March 18, 2025, Tinubu declared a state of emergency in Rivers State, suspending Governor Sim Fubara, the deputy governor, and all members of the state House of Assembly.

During the suspension, Tinubu appointed Ibok Ibas as Sole Administrator to manage the state, aiming to prevent a political crisis.

Onoche wrote: “Tinubu never thought that the 6 months of hell he illegally and unconstitutionally imposed on Rivers State will come to an end.

”That lawlessness will be punished in 2027 by Niger Delltans. We are set.”
