Africa-Press – Nigeria. President of the South African Football Association, Danny Jordaan, has sent a best wishes message to the Super Eagles of Nigeria ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying playoff against the Democratic Republic of Congo on Sunday.
Jordaan wished the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, particularly former NFF president ,Amaju Pinnick, whom he referred to as a friend, all the best as the Super Eagles prepare to take on DR Congo at the Moulay Hassan Stadium in Morocco.
Both Nigeria and DR Congo booked their place in the playoff final after beating Gabon and Cameroon, respectively.
In a video posted on social media by the federation, Jordaan said: “Nigeria was in our group. It was a very tight group and stressed in the end.
“So, I want to wish Nigeria all the best for their match. To Pinnick, my friend, and to all, the President of the NFF, all the best.
“Nigeria is a big team. Nigeria has got players among the best in the world, and I hope they’ll play through to their form and ability and deliver the result.”
