Africa-Press – Nigeria. Outspoken Plateau State clergyman, Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, has revealed that since he began speaking out and exposing incidents of Christian genocide in the state, he has been receiving threats and warnings from some of President Bola Tinubu’s aides and loyalists from the Presidential Villa, urging him to desist from his advocacy, claiming he is demarketing the country.
The vocal man of God, who is the Regional Chairman of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State, made the revelation in a video circulating on several social media platforms since Friday.
In the video, the fiery pastor said that in the last two months, since he began countering the government’s denial of a Christian genocide in the state and other parts of the Middle Belt with credible evidence—including videos of mass graves—some people loyal to the Tinubu administration have been issuing threats to silence him.
“They are threatening and warning me to stop exposing Tinubu’s government at the global level over the ongoing killings of Christians in Nigeria by Fulani terrorists. They say they’re watching my every move from Aso Rock,” Rev. Dachomo said in the video.
He also claimed that his advocacy has made those who want to deceive the world into believing Christians are not facing persecution by Islamic terrorists and Fulani bandits uncomfortable, to the extent that they have been intimidating him and making threats against his life.
He recalled an instance when someone from Aso Rock called to warn him against exposing the government to the international community.
“Somebody from Aso Rock called me and said, ‘Reverend, stop exposing the government, your own government, your country.’ He told me they are watching every one of my moves from Aso Rock.
“I said, oh, so I’m now exposing my government while they are watching me right on social media.”
However, the clergyman, who had already declared in one of his videos that he is not afraid of death in the course of his advocacy, said he told the person that he rejects the idea of staying silent because of the government’s inaction, which continues to endanger the lives of Christians in Nigeria.
“Then I said, what about me? That same government is exposing us to Fulani killings by refusing to stop Fulani herdsmen from attacking us. Are they not exposing us? Their silence is endangering Christians all over Nigeria.
“I was at the gravesite near Abuja today. When I was just climbing Awankibo, a phone call came and said, ‘Reverend, have you heard what is happening?’ I asked, ‘What is happening again?’ I thought they had attacked another location, and this one was more severe. It’s stronger.”
Rev. Dachomo went further to accuse the Nigerian government of failing to take decisive action to curtail the killing of Christians, which he says has emboldened extremist groups and bandits to continue their killing spree.
“Now Boko Haram, ISWAP, even though they are divided, are rejoicing. They kill because they know the government cannot stop them. They have exposed us to Islamic terrorists by their silence.”
While condemning government officials who continue to deny that Christians are facing mass targeted killings, Rev. Dachomo said their silence and denials will not stop him from further exposing the Christian genocide in the state.
“Not only silence, they publicly say there is no genocide against Christians. That is another way of claiming we are lying.”
Also speaking on recent claims by Sheikh Ahmad Gumi that Christian communities in Plateau State bury empty caskets in mass graves, Dachomo said a known terrorist and bandit sympathizer should not be taken seriously.
“The son of the late Gumi, who used to negotiate with terrorists, came out and said all the corpses we buried are lies. He claimed we only buried empty coffins.
“I have made his name known. He must appear before Interpol, even if he hides in Saudi Arabia. I am very sorry for him. They will track him down. He will appear in the International Criminal Court to testify. I want all relevant officials, including the Minister of Defense and the SSS of Nigeria, to be present.
“All stakeholders must visit the gravesite to verify the truth. They must be at the grave. I have instructed the youth in that village to guard the tomb because very soon, mercenaries may come at night to dig up the graves and remove evidence.
“The security personnel working in that village should help guard the village, the tomb, and the monument.
“I also want the Chief Justice of Nigeria to be present. If they want to be sincere and factual, they should be present. The Chief of Defence, the Chief of Army Staff, and the GOC must be present.
“Let us dig the grave and see what is there. Who is lying? Turning my tears into hypocrisy? This is not an empty coffin.
“God of vengeance will fight for us. Go to my Facebook, and you will see me crying at the grave,” Rev. Dachomo concluded in tears.
