Africa-Press – Nigeria. A violent clash among rival youths in Sabon-Titi, Tunga, Minna, Niger State, left one person dead and several others arrested, security sources confirmed.
According to a post shared on X by security analyst Zagazola Makama on Monday, the incident began on Friday night around 8:00 p.m. when a group of youths armed with dangerous weapons were seen causing havoc along David Mark Road.
Security operatives quickly intervened to disperse them.
However, at about 1:00 a.m. on Saturday, the same group reportedly turned on each other in a violent fight using matchets and daggers. Twelve suspects, including Ibrahim Musa, Abbah Hussaini, Babangida Gambo, and Abubakar Bala, were arrested by the police, and their weapons were recovered.
Later that morning, Bello Mohammed of Farm Centre, Tunga, was found lying in a pool of blood.
He was rushed to General Hospital Minna but was confirmed dead on arrival.
Makama revealed that preliminary investigations suggest that the deceased was among the suspected youths involved in terrorizing residents of the area, the post added.
