Africa-Press – Nigeria. The National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement, Yunusa Tanko, says the Nigerian government is deliberately killing democracy in the country.
Tanko made the allegation on Monday in an interview on Arise Television monitored .
He urged the international community to come in and deal with the issue before nothing is left on democracy in Nigeria.
“The government of Nigeria is deliberately killing democracy. International communities need to come in and deal with with the issue
“Nigeria is the most populous Black nation in the world, and if anything happens to its democracy, others will suffer for it.
“Because you are in power now, you repeat the same mistake that other people have already made, that does not grow the system.
“But you could also agree with me that we have a majority of people who are in government, and democracy is the best of all kinds of government at the moment that we all know, except for the process that is making it look very ugly and totally unacceptable to Nigeria,” he said.
