Africa-Press – Nigeria. The National Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission, N-HYPPADEC, has warned members of the public against an invitation for a technical and practical screening exercise for recruitment into the Commission.
In a statement issued by Nura Tanko Wakili, Head, Press and Public Affairs, the Commission described the purported recruitment exercise, which is scheduled to take place at Kainji Hydro Power Station, New Bussa, Niger State, as false and misleading, noting that it is aimed at defrauding unsuspecting members of the public.
The Commission also clarified that there is currently no ongoing recruitment, stressing that the invitation did not emanate from the organization.
The statement reads: “The attention of the National Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (N-HYPPADEC) has been drawn to a purported invitation for a technical and practical screening exercise for recruitment into the Commission, scheduled to take place at Kainji Hydro Power Station, New Bussa, Niger State.
“The information is false, misleading, and baseless, and is intended to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.”
N-HYPPADEC urged the general public to disregard the invitation and to always verify information through official channels to avoid falling victim to fraudsters.
The Commission assured the public that it will continue to protect citizens from scams and ensure that only legitimate opportunities are pursued.
