Africa Press-Nigeria:

Aloy Ejimakor, counsel to the leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has debunked the rumours of the death of his client.

POLITICS NIGERIA reported how controversial social media user, Kemi Olunloyo, claimed that the Biafran leader is gone.

According to Mrs Olunloyo, the leader of the secessionist group died in italy. This however generated controversies among Nigerians and IPOB members on social media platforms. While many discredited the story, some of her followers expressed confidence in the unconfirmed reports.

Although pictures of a coffin, purported to be Kanu’s, with the Biafran flag on it, were shared online, Ms Olunloyo insisted that his dead body was cremated.

However, Mr Ejimakor, on Monday evening warned members of the public against calling him for verification, noting that Mr Kanu is alive.

“Dear Nigerian Media: Publishing @KemiOlunloyo’s DERANGED rantings about @MaziNnamdiKanu DISCREDITS you. Stop calling me to confirm whether Kanu is DEAD or ALIVE because you know very well that #KANUisALIVE & well.
