A serving member of the Enugu State House of Assembly Hon Chijioke Ugwueze is dead.
Though an official statement from the family is still being expected, close sources confirmed his death Friday evening.
Popularly known as Aguiyi the late legislator was a first term Assembly member representing Isi-Uzor state constituency.
Sources indicated that the late legislator was not known to be sick and was in the Assembly last sitting about a week ago.
He was also said to have cracked jokes with other members after the sitting.
Described as a team player in the Enugu House of Assembly, Ugwueze’s death is coming few days the state lost the Nsukka Local Government Chairman, Patrick Omeje.
