Africa-Press – Nigeria. Propaganda against the candidate of political figures from the north for the presidency and that Nigeria does not accept the president from the north.
Ahead of 2023 Presidential election in Nigeria so much has been said and written about this issue of rotational Presidency as gentle Man agreement not Constitutional Provision.
History of rotational Presidency/ Gentle Man Negotiation in Nigeria from 1999
When Nigeria return to Democratic system of Government in 1999 after long Military Dictatorship, the country was at the verge of collapse do to agitations from different regions partcularly South on Producing the Nigerian President .
It could recalled that June 12 annulment was the major Concern of Yaroba race at that time.
Against this background Political leaders from Northern and eastern regions agreed to present a Yaroba Man from the South Western Nigeria to emerged as President.
PDP APP and AD were the major Parties then
Obsanjo Emerged as the PDP flag bearer while APP/AD alliance produce Olu Falaye as its Candidate.
Since then Nigerian Politicians regard the idea as a national agreement of rotating the Number one Position.
With expiration of Obasanjo’s tenure in 2007 he annotated late Y’ar adua from the North as his successor.
2023 Presidency in View and the Northern President
Looking at the train of the present Political Situation in Nigeria what Nigeria needs is competent Person with Capacity to deliver no matter his region ,religion or ethnicity.
And by Virtue of those contesting for the position from both South and the North ,North has more Capable hands like Kwankwaso and Atiku even though the South has personality like Tunibu who transformed Lagos economy but health wise Nigeria has taking enough risk on that regard.by voting Y’ar adua and Buhari as sick Leaders which cost the Country huge problem in all ramifications.
Back to the issue of Propaganda against the Northern Nigeria to Produce the next President in 2023 election..
Northern Nigeria has the highest vote because of its Population and by virtue of the 1999 Constitution every Nigerian that meet the led down criteria of its Provision can Contest for the Position of President.

He said rotational presidency which Nigerian Politician are trying to Capitalised on is unconstitutional.
He added that the President can come from any region and the North can produce as many Presidents as it can ,Provided that Nigerian Voters are providing it with the opportunity.
The activist reiterated the need for Nigerians to understand that insisting on the issue of President come from a Particular State , geo political zone or region will not solve the challenges of hunger, Poverty, University strike bad economy and above all Corruption.
Hence he admonished Nigerians to capitalise on chosen the right persons not only as President but as State Governors ,Senators, House of representative Members and State legislators.
