Africa-Press – Nigeria. Nigeria is a Multi Party Country with eighten Political Parties currently expected to participate in the 2023 Presidential ,National Assembly that comprises Senators and members of house of representatives, Governors and States Assembly elections.
With Current Political situation on the ground as APC the ruling party and PDP which is the main Opposition dominated the Political scene followed by NNPP and Labour Party.
Other parties regard as small parties comprises the fourteen Political Parties that filled Presidential Candidates ahead of 2023 election .
Some of the Presidential Candidates of these Parties include PRP with the Son of late MKO Abiola – Kola Abiola ,AAC with a renown Human right activist and Journalist Omole Sowore and former security aid to the late Military Dictator General Sani Abacha as Action Alliance Candidate. among others.
Small Parties have produced State Governors in some instances in Nigeria’s Previous election like in Abia and Imo States were PPA had Governors during 2007 election.
Also APGA have been producing Governor in Anambara State for three times.
And the same APGA had Governor in Imo State during 2011 election when Rocha’s Okorocha wins against PDP.
Labour Party is another small Party that had Governor two times in Ondo State.
The small Parties won Federal and State Legislatures at various election.
Will Small Parties make impact in 2023 Presidential election?
Dr. Yayaha El Yakub is a Development Worker with years of experience who aspired for the Presidential Position under one of the small Parties in Nigeria named Action Alliance -AA .

He said small Parties has significant role to play in 2023 election as the so called bigger Parties disappointed Nigerians.
Dr. Yahaya Said the ruling Party which is APC has promoted corruption with the amount it sold the presidential aspiration form at the Cost of One Hundred Million.
“How can a right thinking person buy a form at that cost ,that is
unfortunate”.
He added that small Parties sells their forms at the subsidise rates that ordinary Politician can Purchase.
The Presidential aspirant reiterates that the small parties can serve as an alternative to Nigerians in 2023.
“If you look at the type of Candidates they have , are people with realistic Ideologies who can performed very well unlike the one’s in the bigger Parties that a regular Political merchants ”
El Yakub urged Nigerians to Vote for People that can deliver no matter what Party they come from as Nigeria is in dare need of good leaders that can handle the security and economic challenges faced by the country.
