Africa-Press – Nigeria. Nigerian champions, Bayelsa Queens, will know their group stage opponents at the 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League on Friday.
According to a statement on CAF’s official website, the draw ceremony will take place at the Mohammed VI Technical Centre in Rabat, Morocco.
Bayelsa Queens booked a spot in the competition after claiming the top spot at the WAFU B Women’s Champions League in Yamoussoukro, Cote d’Ivoire last weekend.
The Nigerian ladies defeated Ampem Darkoa Ladies of Ghana 3-0 in the final of the competition.
Seven other teams will participate in the tournament scheduled to hold from October 31 to November 13 in Morocco.
The teams are Green Buffaloes of Zambia, Determine Girls FC of Liberia, and Simba Queens FC of Tanzania.
The other teams are defending champions, Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa, AS FAR of Morocco, and Wadi Degla of Egypt.
