Police Nabs Man in Possession of N15m Worth of Fake Drugs in Zaria

The Kaduna State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of a man, Emanuel Igboanu also known as “BUTEE-BUTEE” for allegedly in possession of fake drugs worth over N15 million in Zaria, Karina State, North West, Nigeria.

ASP Muktar Aliyu, the Public Relation Officer of the command, gave the hint in a telephone interview.

He said the man was arrested by the Police Area Command in Zaria after a tip-off by some good citizens which led to the interception of the fake drugs and subsequent arrest of the accused person.

Aliyu said investigation into the matter was ongoing in order to trace the manufacturing plant and the distribution channels.

The image maker appealed to the general public not to relent at providing vital information to the security agencies to enable them discharge their duties efficiently and effectively.

Investigation revealed that the drugs were intercepted at Sabon Gari main market, Zaria, where the drugs were meant to be disposed-off or distributed to various dealers and vendors around.

A reliable source also revealed that the suspect is among the group that kano state government dislodged from their inhuman business from the state and relocated to Zaria to continue with their inhuman business.
