Africa-Press – Nigeria. A 25-year-old Fulani man, Yakubu Salisu of Tenti village in Bokkos Local Government Area, was killed in a violent attack on Saturday, while six cows were poisoned in a separate incident in Kwi village, Riyom LGA of Plateau State, authorities confirmed.
This was contained in a post shared on X by security analyst Zagazola Makama on Monday.
According to Makama, Salisu was stabbed in the back by unidentified assailants suspected to be locals of Bokkos, and he died instantly at the scene.
The attack reportedly followed an earlier confrontation between a farmer, Josiah Joshua, 28, and some herders on his farm.
Joshua allegedly sustained injuries during the encounter and later mobilized friends, leading to Salisu’s death.
The police responded promptly, documenting the scene and releasing the body to relatives for burial according to Islamic rites.
Investigations are ongoing to apprehend the perpetrators.
Meanwhile, in Riyom LGA, six cows were poisoned without any apparent provocation.
Authorities have started investigations, and security officials urged residents to remain vigilant and avoid taking the law into their own hands.
