Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Victor Osimhen and Samuel Chukwueze will not be part of Nigeria\u2019a squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Zimbabwe, according to head coach Jose Peseiro.<\/p>\n

The duo were injured in Nigeria\u2019s friendly against the Green Falcons of Saudi Arabia last month.<\/p>\n

While Chukwueze has returned to training, Osimhen is still recovering from the injury.<\/p>\n

Peseiro confirmed the duo would not be called up for the games against the Likuena and Warriors.<\/p>\n

\u201cSamuel Chukwueze and Victor Osimhen will not be called up during the next break; we want to avoid any risks,\u201d Peseiro told TV Play, as per Milan Reports.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was very sorry for their injuries: the clubs pay the players, and we constantly collaborate with them.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Super Eagles will entertain Lesotho at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, on Thursday, November 16.<\/p>\n

The encounter against Zimbabwe, billed for the Huye Stadium, will take place three days later.<\/p>\n
