Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Senator Samuel Anyanwu, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Imo State, has cried foul over some alleged electoral malpractices in Saturday\u2019s election.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the reports from the party agents in the field, Anyanwu alleged incidents of ballot box snatching, vote buying and other irregularities in some polling units.<\/p>\n

He made the claim during in an interview with journalists in his Amaimo residence in Ikeduru Local Government Area (LGA) of Imo.<\/p>\n

Anyanwu also called for the cancellation of the results of the poll in the areas allegedly rocked by thuggery and violence.<\/p>\n

He also urged INEC \u201cto beam its searchlight on Ikeduru LGA.\u201d<\/p>\n

Anyanwu said: \u201cI have evidence that one of the thugs is a member of the House of Assembly.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the process of snatching the ballot boxes, the lawmaker\u2019s Identity Card fell off and I have it here with me.<\/p>\n

\u201cI call on INEC to consider the available evidence and cancel results of elections in the affected areas.\u201c<\/p>\n
