Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>A 24-year-old suspected cultist have been apprehended by men of the Nigeria Navy, Forward Operating Base, FOB, Igbokoda, Ondo State.<\/p>\n

The suspect identified as Tosin Wandele, was accused of carrying out deadly cult related activities in Ilaje Local Government Area of the state.<\/p>\n

While parading the 24-year-old suspect at the Naval Base in the state, the Commanding Officer of the Base, Captain Wasuku Alushi, disclosed that Wandele had for a while been on the watch list of security agencies in the state.<\/p>\n

Alushi added that the arrest of the suspect was part of the commitment to sustain the fight against cultism and other crimes within the area.<\/p>\n

According to the Commanding Officer, the suspect and others currently at large have been harassing and intimidating residents with dangerous weapons.<\/p>\n

He maintained that the arrest was made possible \u201cbased on credible intelligence, we responded and effected the arrest of the suspect, Tosin Wandele\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt would also interest you to know that the suspect was confirmed by the Head of the Vigilante in Igbokoda to be a notorious and known cultist who has been terrorising the people of Igbokoda for a long time.<\/p>\n

\u201cAccordingly, he (the suspect) has since been handed over to the Department of State Service for further investigation.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u201dIt is pertinent to state that the base has continued to collaborate with other security agencies in Ondo State in stemming the tide of cultism within its area of operation.\u201d<\/p>\n
