{"id":101148,"date":"2023-11-17T17:27:46","date_gmt":"2023-11-17T16:27:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/uncategorized\/kano-appeal-court-verdict-has-vindicated-ganduje-apc-vice-chairman"},"modified":"2023-11-17T19:56:55","modified_gmt":"2023-11-17T18:56:55","slug":"kano-appeal-court-verdict-has-vindicated-ganduje-apc-vice-chairman","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/parties\/kano-appeal-court-verdict-has-vindicated-ganduje-apc-vice-chairman","title":{"rendered":"Kano: Appeal Court verdict has vindicated Ganduje \u2013 APC vice chairman"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The National Vice Chairman, North West, of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Hon Garba Datti Muhammad, has hailed the decision of the Court of Appeal affirming the sack of Governor Kabir Abba Yusuf of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the judgement has vindicated Umar Ganduje, the current APC chairman and former governor of Kano State.<\/p>\n<p>Muhammad, in a statement shortly after the Appeal Court verdict on Friday, said the judgement was a reflection of the people\u2019s will and the acceptability of the APC in the North West.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI hail the appellate court\u2019s decision, which has manifested Allah\u2019s divine providence for Dr Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna to be confirmed as the duly elected governor of Kano state.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy upholding the tribunal\u2019s verdict and setting aside the issues brought by the appellant, the ruling marks the culmination of a long and arduous legal battle that had gripped the state for months.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt must be emphasized that this judgement is a triumph for the wish of the good people of Kano state, which validates their mandate to Dr Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna and his deputy, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, and a relief from the vindictive and malicious destruction of the Ganduje legacies by the ousted NNPP government.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFinally, I applaud the judiciary for their unwavering commitment to always remain on the side of justice,\u201d the statement reads.<\/p>\n<p>The Appeal Court sacked the Governor of Kano State, Abba Yusuf and declared Nasir Ganuwa of the APC winner of the March 18 gubernatorial poll in Kano State.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\">Nigeria<\/a> Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria.
