Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Nigeria\u2019s Deputy Senate President, Jibrin Barau, has sought strong diplomatic ties with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as the Middle East nation celebrates its 52nd National Day.<\/p>\n

Barau, who represents Kano North Senatorial District, stated this at the celebration organised by the UAE embassy in Abuja, where he was a guest speaker.<\/p>\n

A statement issued on Tuesday by Ismail Mudashir, the Special Adviser to the Deputy Senate President on Media and Publicity, noted that the UAE has contributed immensely to the growth of the world economy.<\/p>\n

Barau insisted that bilateral relations between the two countries would be of mutual benefit.<\/p>\n

Barau, who proclaimed his admiration for UAE \u201cfor the wonderful achievements it has recorded to become one of the most popular destinations for business and tourism in the world,\u201d said: \u201cWe will also want our country, Nigeria, to be a wonderful country that can attract people from all over the world to come for business and tourism opportunities.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have been having a very good relationship with UAE. We have very much in common in terms of endowment and I hope that we continue with the cordial relationship for the benefit of the two countries.\u201d<\/p>\n
