{"id":101903,"date":"2023-11-24T21:54:52","date_gmt":"2023-11-24T20:54:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/uncategorized\/nigerias-gdp-grows-by-2-54-in-q3-2023"},"modified":"2023-11-25T00:23:35","modified_gmt":"2023-11-24T23:23:35","slug":"nigerias-gdp-grows-by-2-54-in-q3-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/economy\/nigerias-gdp-grows-by-2-54-in-q3-2023","title":{"rendered":"Nigeria\u2019s GDP grows by 2.54% in Q3 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Nigeria\u2019s Gross Domestic Product, GDP, grew by 2.54 per cent (year-on-year) in the third quarter of 2023.<\/p>\n<p>The National Bureau of Statistics, NBS, disclosed this on Friday in its Nigerian Gross Domestic Product Report (Q3 2023).<\/p>\n<p>The figure is higher than the 2.51 per cent growth rate recorded in the second quarter of the same year.<\/p>\n<p>Also, the growth rate is higher than the 2.25 per cent recorded in the third quarter of 2022.<\/p>\n<p>According to the NBS, the country\u2019s GDP performance in the third quarter of 2023 was driven mainly by the services sector, which recorded a growth of 3.99 per cent and contributed 52.70 per cent to the aggregate GDP.<\/p>\n<p>The agriculture sector grew by 1.30 per cent, from the growth of 1.34 per cent recorded in the third quarter of 2022.<\/p>\n<p>The development comes as Nigeria\u2019s headline inflation rate soared to 27.33 per cent in October.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\">Nigeria<\/a> Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria.
