Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Lagos State police command says its operatives have arrested one Benjamin Ezeukwefor, who allegedly masterminded a scam and defrauded several Nigerians in an elaborate Dangote Cement price slash claim.<\/p>\n

SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, said on Sunday, that Ezeukwe was arrested on October 19 at Rumuolumeni area of Obio\/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers.<\/p>\n

He said the arrest followed weeks of intensive investigation by officers and men of \u201cArea A\u2019\u2019 police command in Lagos State.<\/p>\n

Hundeyin also noted that police found many incriminating items in the suspect\u2019s possession when he was arrested.<\/p>\n

Hundeyin explained that Ezeukwe created a bogus but convincing online advert in September, purportedly by Dangote Cement, claiming a massive price slash.<\/p>\n

\u201cNumerous unsuspecting customers fell prey and lost millions of Naira to the suspect.<\/p>\n

\u201cInvestigation revealed that the suspect perpetrated several other scams in the past.<\/p>\n

\u201dHe has since been arraigned,\u2019\u2019 Hundeyin stated.<\/p>\n
