Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the recently concluded Kogi governorship poll, Dino Melaye, has insisted that he will not contest the electoral victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the November 11 election because he has lost confidence in the judiciary.<\/p>\n

Melaye, who stated this on Wednesday, insisted that the Judiciary is no longer the last hope of the ordinary Nigerians.<\/p>\n

\u201cJudiciary is no longer the last hope of the ordinary people, it\u2019s now a department under the All Progressives Congress,\u201d Melaye said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy should any responsible person go to the tribunal when the APC has captured the judiciary? I\u2019ve lost complete confidence in the judiciary.\u201d<\/p>\n

Recall that APC\u2019s Usman Ododo was declared winner of the governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).<\/p>\n

Ododo defeated Melaye and Social Democratic Party, SDP\u2019s Muri Ajaka to emerge winner.<\/p>\n
