Kelechi Iheanacho has won back his place in the Nigeria squad despite recent criticism from Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr.<\/p>\n
Iheanacho was dropped by Nigeria in March after Rohr questioned the striker\u2019s professionalism and the quality of his recent displays.<\/p>\n
The Nigeria boss said: \u201cI think he must be more professional. We were not satisfied with his performances the last time he was with us.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt’s not good enough to be funny all the time.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou must show that you are serious by working hard every day in the training sessions and show that you seriously want to come back into the team at the club and also with us.\u201d<\/p>\n
Despite his recent high-profile miss against Manchester City, it seems Iheanacho has won Rohr over, the 22-year-old selected in Nigeria\u2019s 25-man provisional squad for the Africa Cup of Nations, which starts on June 21.<\/p>\n
City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi is also in the squad, which will be cut down to 23, along with former Leicester forward Ahmed Musa.<\/p>\n
Also potentially heading to Egypt for the finals is City Under-23s striker Admiral Muskwe, who has been included in Zimbabwe\u2019s 34-man provisional line-up.<\/p>\n
