{"id":103288,"date":"2023-12-06T21:54:03","date_gmt":"2023-12-06T20:54:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/uncategorized\/court-orders-ondo-assembly-to-investigate-akeredolus-health"},"modified":"2023-12-07T00:39:51","modified_gmt":"2023-12-06T23:39:51","slug":"court-orders-ondo-assembly-to-investigate-akeredolus-health","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/policy\/court-orders-ondo-assembly-to-investigate-akeredolus-health","title":{"rendered":"Court orders Ondo Assembly to investigate Akeredolu\u2019s health"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>An Ondo State High Court sitting in Akure has ordered the State House of Assembly to constitute a panel of medical personnel to investigate the status of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu\u2019s health.<\/p>\n<p>After his return from medical vacation in Germany, the governor reportedly relocated to Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, for further medical attention.<\/p>\n<p>Worried over his continued stay in Ibadan, a coalition of civil society groups through their conveners, Olufemi Lawson, Ologun Ayodeji, Isijola Kike and Arogbo Olaniyi, approached the court to seek an order that would compel the state assembly to investigate Akeredolu\u2019s health.<\/p>\n<p>The coalition, through their counsel, Dotun Ajulo, named the state assembly, its speaker, Olamide Oladiji and Governor Rotimi Akeredolu as respondent.<\/p>\n<p>Ruling on the matter on Wednesday, Justice A. I.
