Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Coalition of Middle Belt Groups has declared that the stance of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) and other political entities serves as an endorsement of Alhaji Usman Ododo\u2019s triumph as the All Progressives Congress candidate in the Kogi gubernatorial election.<\/p>\n

Dr Omale Ben Amedu, the convener of the group and former APM Deputy Governorship candidate, dismissed reports attempting to undermine the electoral process, emphasizing that the results truly reflected the will of the people.<\/p>\n

Amedu contended that despite challenges, the election was free, fair, and credible, acknowledging that no election can be flawless but emphasizing the negligible nature of the encountered glitches.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe outcome of the elections in Kogi State is an expression of the people\u2019s wishes.\u201d<\/p>\n

Amedu stated that major parties refrained from legal challenges due to the transparent conduct of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) throughout the electoral process.<\/p>\n

The Coalition condemned alleged false claims by the elections petitions tribunal secretary in Lokoja, saying that such assertions lacked merit and accused her of playing to the gallery or following a scripted narrative to discredit the election\u2019s outcome.<\/p>\n

The Coalition urged INEC to enhance its facilities and processes, commending the overall conduct of the Kogi election.<\/p>\n

He appealed to stakeholders in Kogi to unite in supporting the elected governor towards fostering sustainable growth and development in the state.<\/p>\n
